Mahindra & Mahindra has relaunched the Diesel Automatic Variant of its BS6 standard based XUV500 (XUV500) in India.
The company stopped production of its XUV during BS6 updation earlier this year. The company has also added many new features to its car. This may also increase its prices.
Speaking of features, the XUV500 automatic model has a 2.2-liter mHawk diesel engine similar to the 6-speed manual variant. The XUV500 has been launched with the option of 6-speed torque converter. This engine generates 155 PS of power and 360 Nm of peak torque.
The all-wheel-drive feature is not offered in the BS6 model. It has a wheelbase of 2,700 mm. The XUV500 measures 4,585 mm in length, 1,890 mm in width and 1,785 mm in height. The SUV will compete against Tata Harrier, MG Hector, Kia Seltos, and Hyundai Creta in the Indian market.
