Bihar Sharif: Police have recovered the woman’s body in the Nagarnausa police station area of Bihar’s Nalanda district. It was alleged that the woman’s hands and feet were tied and her body was set on fire in a land dispute, which resulted in her death. A police official said on Saturday that the body of a woman from Mahanampur Shahpur village was recovered on Friday and was identified by Viva Singh, 45, daughter of Surendra Singh, a resident of the village. According to the police, there was a dispute with Surendra Singh’s brother Brijmohan Singh over the land. Surendra Prasad’s wife has died. Viva often came to her mother’s house to look after her father. The villagers informed the police that the two brothers had been arguing over land for several years. It is alleged that members of Brajmohan Singh’s family set Biva on fire.
Nagarnausa police station in-charge Narda Muni Singh said an FIR had been lodged in connection with the murder of the victim’s son. An FIR has been lodged, the woman has been charged with murder in a land dispute, and police are investigating the case. He said police have arrested one accused woman and are conducting operations to nab the other accused.
