New Delhi: India has the distinction of administering 17 crore covid vaccines in the shortest days worldwide. The country is in second and third place, beating the United States (USA) and China (China). India achieved the target in 114 days, the US reached the target in 114 days and China took 119 days to reach here. A total of 17,01,76,603 vaccine doses were administered through 24,70,799 sessions as of 7 a.m. Monday, according to the provisional report. Of these, 95,47,102 health workers who received the first dose and 64,71,385 health workers who received the second dose included a total of 1,39,72,612 frontline workers who received the first dose and 77,55,283 frontline workers who received the second dose of the vaccine.
A total of 20,31,854 beneficiaries aged 18-45 have so far received the first dose of the vaccine. People between the ages of 45 and 60 included 5,51,79,217 beneficiaries receiving the first dose and a total of 65,61,851 beneficiaries receiving the second dose. A total of 5,36,74,08 first-dose beneficiaries are in the age group of over 60 years and 1,99,3,22 are among those who have received the second dose.
On Sunday, a total of 2,46,269 beneficiaries aged 18-24 received their first dose of the cobed vaccine. On the 114th day of the vaccination campaign (May 921, 2021), 6,89,652 doses were given. In 5,685 sessions, 4,05,325 beneficiaries received the first dose of the vaccine and 2,84,327 beneficiaries received the second dose of the vaccine. The data comes at a time when the country has registered 3,66,161 new coroner cases in the last 24 hours.
