New Delhi: About 10 million doses of the Covid-19 vaccine have been given to people aged 18 to 44 in India. The Union Ministry of Health said this on Monday. The ministry said 19.60 crore doses of the vaccine have been given so far. The ministry said that as per the information received till this morning, 19,051,9622 doses have been given in 26,1,525 sessions. According to the data, 97,60,444 health workers were given the first dose and 67,06,890 health workers were given the second dose. According to the ministry, 1,99,99,1,37 personnel of the advance front also received the first dose of vaccine and 63,33,7744 personnel of the advance front also received the second dose.
According to the data, vaccination of people between the ages of 18 and 44 has started from May 1 and so far 1,06,21,225 beneficiaries of this age have received the first dose of the vaccine. The ministry also said that the first and second doses were given to 09,11,756 people and 98,18,384 people between the ages of 45 and 60, respectively.
Similarly, the first dose was given to 5,66,45,457 people aged 60 years and the second dose to 1,82,62,665 people. The ministry said that so far 66.30 per cent of the total vaccines have been received in Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat, West Bengal, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Kerala and Andhra Pradesh.
