New Delhi: A recent study found that both covachield and covacin vaccines had good immunity after two doses. However, the seropositivity rate and average anti-spike antibody titer in Covishield were significantly higher than in Kovacin. The results of the study, published in Medroxyv, are entitled “Antibody response among healthcare workers in India after the second dose of KovashieldM and KovacintM: results of a study of cross-sectional coronavirus vaccine-induced antibody properties (COVAT).” Covid-19 vaccine: State and Union Territories will have about 120 million doses of Covid vaccine in June-Center.
The results showed that 95.0 percent of 515 HCW (955 males, 210 females) showed seropositivity after two doses of both vaccines. Of the 425 Copashield and 90 Kovacin recipients, 98.1 percent and 80.0 percent showed seropositivity, respectively.
However, both the seropositivity rate and mean (IQR) of anti-spike antibodies were significantly higher among Covichild vs. Covacain recipients (98.1 vs. 80.0 percent; 127.0 vs. 53 AO / mL, both P).
