On Thursday morning (19 November), a fierce encounter took place between the militants and security forces at the toll plaza in Nagrota, Jammu. In which four terrorists were shelled by the security forces. The security forces believed that the terrorists were intended to carry out a major attack, which was designed from across the border.
Experts in the case say that GPS devices and mobile phones have been found from the slain terrorists. On the basis of which preliminary investigation has revealed that operational commanders of Pakistan-based terrorist group Jaish-e-Mohammed (JM) were in contact with Mufti Rauf Asghar and Qari Zar.
Based on the investigation, it is being speculated that the terrorists were intended to wreak havoc in the valley. Tell de Mufti Asghar is the younger brother of JM chief and UN-designated global terrorist Masood Azhar. According to sources, the four terrorists were planning to carry out a major attack on the anniversary of the Mumbai attack.
PM Modi held an important meeting on Friday after the terrorists were killed. In which Union Home Minister Amit Shah, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval and many officials were also present. After the meeting, PM Modi tweeted and said that the security forces will foil the conspiracy of the terrorists.
