Five days later, the Mumbai attack marks the 26/11 anniversary, before which Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised the security forces for thwarting potential terrorist attacks. On Friday, Vice Admiral MS Pawar, Vice-Chief of the Indian Navy, said that the army is fully ready to thwart terrorism from the sea. Pawar assured that the Navy is fully prepared to defeat every threat of terrorism from the sea.

Pawar said that Mumbai terror attack will be 12 years after five days. In such a situation, I want to assure the country that the Indian Navy along with all the stakeholders are ready to face every threat of terrorism from sea or sea. Let me tell you that Modi congratulated the security forces for thwarting the nefarious plot by Pakistan terrorist group Jaish-e-Mohammed to target the ground level exercises in Jammu and Kashmir.

Remind me the Mumbai terror attacks took place on 26 November 2008, which lasted for four days. In this attack 166 people were killed and more than 300 people were injured. During this time 9 terrorists were also killed and the surviving terrorist Ajmal Amir Kasab was sentenced to death in Yerawada Central Jail. Then in 2012 in Pune. On 11 November 2012, Kasab was hanged in the Yerwada jail in Pune.
