In the review meeting, the government believed that the terrorists were preparing for a terrorist attack on the 26/11 anniversary. Last Thursday, 4 terrorists were killed in an early encounter. During the checking at Ban Toll Plaza in Nagrota, Jammu, the security forces piled four terrorists on the N-44. They were hiding in a truck and started firing when stopped for checking. During the retaliation, the soldiers blew up the truck. The terrorists then fled towards the nearby forest. All the terrorists were killed in the operation which lasted for 3 hours. While giving information about this incident, IG Mukesh Singh said that 11 AK-47 rifles, three pistols, 29 grenades, mobile phones, were found near the militants in Nagrota of Jammu and Kashmir. Compass, ammunition and many other instruments were found. At present, the slain terrorists have not been identified. IG said that since the process of DDC elections has started for the last few days, since then intelligence inputs were coming to us and information was received that there is a possibility of infiltration from across the border in view of the elections.
