Indore, May 17: At a government hospital in Indore on Monday, rats were accused of amputating a newborn baby’s ankle. The hospital administration was shocked to see this incident and rushed to the inquiry committee.
Pramendra Tagore, superintendent of the government-run Maharaja Yashwant Rao Hospital (MYH), said, “There has been an incident of rat bites in the nursery of our hospital (where newborns are kept for care). We will investigate the matter in detail. “
He said a three-member committee has been formed to investigate the incident, which includes two MYH doctors and an administrative officer.
The MYH superintendent did not immediately reveal the identity of the victim of the immediate mouse attack and did not provide details of the incident.
