Not having Virat will make a big difference in Indian batting: Chappell

Sydney, Nov 22 (Sunmarg) Former Australia captain and famous commentator Ian Chappell says the absence of Indian captain Virat Kohli in the last three matches of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy will make a big difference in the batting of the Indian team.
Virat will return home from Adelaide after taking part in the first match of the four-match Test series starting on 17 December. In such a situation, due to the absence of Virat, various speculations are being made about the performance of Team India.
Chappell said, “When captain Virat returns home after the first Test, India will face problems with team selection. It will make a big difference in the Indian batting order but at the same time it will give an emerging player a chance to show his talent. ”
He said, “There is going to be an interesting match between the two teams and the most important is the selection process.” The result will reveal who proved to be better in team combination. ”
The 77-year-old Chappell, who captained the Australia team from 1971 to 1975, had ideas not only for India but also for Australia’s team combination. He supported young batsman Will Pukowski in place of David Warner as a partner at the opening.
Chappell said, “Players should always be selected based on the current form.” As Warner’s opening partner, I would support Pukowski’s name in place of Burns. He scored six centuries in the Sheffield Shield tournament, three of which were double centuries. He has proved that he is capable of playing high level cricket. ”
