Cargo spacecraft departed from NASA for ISS, know why Kalpana Chawla has been named

Virginia. A rocket took off cargo from NASA Center for International Space Station (ISS). This Northrop Grumman Antares rocket was named after Kalpana Chawla, India’s first female astronaut.

This cargo spacecraft was launched at 6:46 am Indian time. Many experiments have been sent with this spacecraft which will find answers to many questions of humans.

It is the tradition of the Northrop Grumman Company. Each signature spacecraft is named after a person who played an important role in a human space flight.
