Dunki Box Office Collection:Shah Rukh Khan‘s latest venture, “Dunki,” directed by the acclaimed Rajkumar Hirani, is showcasing remarkable resilience at the box office. On its 17th day, the film witnessed an impressive surge of over 50%, raking in a substantial Rs 3.50 crore. This propelled the total collection to a commendable Rs 212 crore, with the worldwide figure standing at an impressive Rs 422.90 crore, as reported by Red Chillies Entertainment.

As we approach its third week, “Dunki” is poised to claim the spot as SRk’s third-highest-grossing film, following the success of “Pathaan” and “Jawan.” The film embarked on its journey with a strong opening day, amassing Rs 29.2 crore. Although it faced a dip on the following day, earning Rs 20.12 crore, “Dunki” managed to maintain a steady stride, accumulating a substantial Rs 160.22 crore in its debut week. Despite a slight decline in the second week, with earnings falling below Rs 50 crore, the film remains steadfast in its pursuit of success.

“Dunki” now sets its sights on surpassing the overall earnings of the Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone-starrer “Chennai Express,” which collected Rs 227 crore in India and a staggering Rs 424.54 crore worldwide. Should “Dunki” achieve this milestone, it will secure its position as SRK’s third-highest domestic grosser, with “Jawan” and “Pathaan” leading the chart.

The collaborative effort between SRK and Rajkumar Hirani, “Dunki,” is a noteworthy comedy-drama that also features stellar performances from Boman Irani, Vicky Kaushal, and Taapsee Pannu in pivotal roles.

Notably, “Dunki” faced stiff competition at the box office, clashing with Prabhas’ blockbuster “Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire.” Despite the intense competition, SRK’s cinematic trifecta of “Pathaan,” “Jawan,” and “Dunki” achieved unprecedented success in 2023, collectively grossing over Rs 1,000 crore worldwide. Trade analyst Ramesh Bala highlighted the remarkable global feat, emphasizing that this achievement remains unparalleled by any other Indian actor in a single year, excluding China.
