According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the film did well in its first four days in India, earning over ₹118.50 crores. Deepika Padukone plays Squadron Leader Minal Rathore, popularly known as Minni, while Hrithik Roshan plays Squadron Leader Shamsher Pathania, also known as Patty. As Group Captain Rakesh Jai Singh, also referred to as Rocky, Anil Kapoor joins them. Hrithik and Deepika work together on screen for the first time with this hit.

Trade expert Taran Adarsh said on X that “Fighter” made ₹123.60 crores in total revenue over all of the weekend, which was a remarkable amount. The film does, however, fare differently in each location. While mass pockets and small screens are still not reaching their full promise, urban centers show excellent to very good performance. After a longer weekend, the movie will have to perform well in mass belts, non-metros, and urban areas.

The song ‘Dil Banaane Waaleya,’ that includes the vocals of Sheykhar Ravjiani, Jonita Gandhi, Arijit Singh, and Vishal Dadlani, was released by its producers on Monday. Sharing the song to Instagram, Hrithik Roshan wrote, “Tu qubool kar sajde mere.. ya woh aasmaan ko chhod de.”

The story of the film focuses on the Indian Air Forces’ Balakot airstrike, which occurred near Balakot in Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa region. This airstrike was carried out in response for a terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir that took the lives of about forty CRPF troops and targeted the main base of the terrorist group Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM).

This is Deepika Padukone’s third film with filmmaker Siddharth Anand, following the critically acclaimed “Pathaan” in 2023 and “Bachna Ae Haseeno” in 2008. Particularly, “Fighter” is the first time that Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone work on screen.
