Fighter, starring Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone, has seen a major rise in popularity in New Delhi after a poor start on its opening day. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh highlighted two main factors that helped to the film’s success: strong word of mouth and the Republic Day holiday. The film’s demand also helped increase its box office on Friday. Adarsh believes Fighter has a good potential of achieving major success if the energy maintains on Saturday and Sunday. The film grossed ₹41.20 crores on its second day, increasing its total to ₹65.80 crore.

According to Adarsh, “Fighter sets the box office on fire, showing outstanding results on Day 2 due to two main reasons: [i] great audience feedback and [ii] Republic Day holiday…” The parts of the country that did not do well on Day 1 saw an interesting rise on Day 2, contributing to the overall great total.” He also expressed trust in the film’s future, saying, “The a huge increase on Day 2 gives the film an excellent chance to continue its success…” If Saturday and Sunday continue up as usual, a large total is well within sight.”

Film writer Saibal Chatterjee rated Fighter 2.5 stars and highlighted the film’s features, writing, “Scripted by Ramon Chibb with Siddharth Anand, Fighter works best once it chooses to slow down a bit in the second half.” Chatterjee listed the film’s emotional high point as the scene in which the character Samsher impresses Minal’s parents on the worth of their daughter’s successes.

Fighter, directed by Siddharth Anand, stars Hrithik, Deepika, and Anil Kapoor as members of a special force answering to a danger from over the border. The film also stars Karan Singh Grover, Akshay Oberoi, Rishabh Sawhney, and Sanjeeda Sheikh. As the picture keeps on enthral audience members, it remains to be seen how it will fare all over the four-day extended weekend. The out of the blue nature of spot bookings and support from the public in diverse countries lends tension to the film’s potential success. Let us hope for what comes next on Saturday and Sunday.
